Gee, as I call her, is a year higher than me in college. Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
She was also one of the officers when I joined COCC group.
I still remember she used to call me so often and have me sung "The Way We Were" by Barbara Streisand...haha...
I am her favorite when she wanted an errand. haha ... Some may complained about being called but honestly, I did enjoyed serving and doing anything without complaint.
But sadly to say, I have to drop college in PLM as I have to work so I could continue my schooling.
We separated ways but our friendship remains...
So seldom our communication is until I heard she left for Australia. I was saddened with the news but happier for Gee's dream would come true.
It would no longer be just a dream but a reality... All I felt that time is happiness... God knows how I am going to miss her but also I know God will make a way for us to meet again.
I went to work from 7:00 am till 3:00 pm and straight to FEU to attend my 5:30 pm class.
Never I hear from her for years and Facebook helped us to connect again. We exchange messages and shared posts... I so Loved it... The feeling of reconnecting with a long time friend/mentor...
She came to Philippines years after and contacted me. She already have two kids while I have one. We had so memorable moments then.
Gee has to go back to Australia...well, can't do anything about it..
Again lost communications... Started to put up my own business, kept myself busy until I got separated. But life continues so am I.
Again She visited Manila. I spent one whole day with her. Had so much fun and I went home 6:00 am. Omg,. what a day of fun I had.
When she went to Australia , we continue exchanging messages and even have video chat.
Now, let's go back to the poem she wrote about me. Haha... I am so touched... But buys, she exactly knows me. And whatever is in this poem is the true Marivic a.k.a. Mavic...
So excited to share it and l know this would give you an idea who the real ME is...
Thank you so much Gee... Forever you will my friend and mentor...
Marivic
The wits that inspire my falling life
Never sad no complain with her feelings torn apart
Marivic is the woman who brings the light
Struggles through with the everyday swing
Turmoil passes in her hand like a piece of string
Memories that we have bring the sunshine back to me
Colours of the rainbow sparkle when she talks happily
Phenomenal power of her words strike the most
Humour without sarcasm is the best medicine of all
Spirit lifts to the sky with no surprise
As she feeds any soul with full delight
